Wanda Vision Trailer Breakdown

Hey y'all MCU fans! as you all know that Marvel Cinematic Universe is going into another new phase in which Marvel has announced a number of new movies and TV Series.

With this Marvel is not only heading to Disney Plus with new series that will enrich some of its existing lineups but also introduce some of the most diverse, unique characters from the pages and panels of the comics. Talking about new characters in Marvel's cinematic universe,

Sharmeen Obaid is also going to work with a Muslim Female Superhero movie which may or may not be based on Pakistan.

With all of these great things happening in Marvel's Universe, I am really excited about the new Wanda Vision Disney Plus TV Series Trailer. And there are some things that I want to discuss and tell you my opinion after watching the trailer. Because some people are very confused after watching it.

 So, let’s start.

This trailer is a surprise for all the comic fans out there like me. Because it looks like the show is set in the early 1950s.

In my theory, this show is all about Wanda's Reality Warping powers from Comics.

She has created her own pocket universe, in which she can change reality however she likes, but the consequences of doing this also change the outside world, which is the "Real" Reality. I am saying all this after closely examining the trailer.

In Wanda's Pocket universe she has made her surroundings based on a TV show or different television shows, because what is a TV? It is a small universe of your own inside your house, which you can turn on and off with your will (Remote Control) and you can set it up with the scenes of your choice (content or Channels).

The trailer starts with 1950's sitcom 'Bewitched', there are a lot of sitcoms referenced in the trailer like, the set is of Dick Van Dyke Show, but most of the scenes are from the sitcom "Bewitched".

If you're not familiar, that sitcom is about a suburban couple who are perfectly normal except the mom just happens to be a witch and she's trying to hide this from everyone in the neighborhood, particularly a nosey a neighbor, and we see the element of that nosey neighbor in the trailer with a dinner in which Debra Joe Rupp from the 1970's American Television show.

You can see in the trailer Dinner guests keep mocking Wanda and digging at her and keep on digging until her reality starts to break down and the trailer aspect ratio expands from a 4:3 TV screen to a full 16:9 (letterbox) screen.

So, in my opinion, here's what's happening. As we know Wanda and Vision are connected which we have already seen in the Avengers Infinity War movie scene in which we saw them walking near a window with a TV Screen inside late night at a street of Edinburgh. Before that scene, Wanda and Vision tried to communicate with each other's minds through her power, and his "Mind" stone. She said in that scene "I just feel you" so that we know they're sort of connected through their brain Like some Lovers out there.

But unlike other Lovers, they can shoot their energy in form of beams, and Infinity war also points out that they work on some sort of energy harmonic frequency, which later on destroyed or killed 'Vision'. In other words, she's a part of Him and He's a part of her because, in the scene which showed Wanda killing Vision in the Avengers Infinity War, Vision said the exact same words to Wanda "I Just Feel You".

So, since Wanda is able to create this small pocket universe of her own and also, she has the consciousness of the Vision embedded inside of her, she's now able to resurrect the Vision inside this universe.

In the next scene shown in, we get the first glimpse of the mysterious character Katherine Han. And as far as I know, this character is not yet has been introduced and no one has announced who she's playing. According to my theory, I think she's playing the character of "Agatha Harkness".

Agatha Harkness is a character from comics, she was Franklin Richard's nanny, but most importantly she's the teacher and mentor of Wanda Maximoff and she taught her how to use her powers.

In a scene we see Wanda moving things with her mind powers, which is basically one of the powers that Samantha had on "Bewitched".

We also see vision changing his appearance much like the character he uses when he's not in his real form in the Avengers infinity war.

Now back to that dinner scene

Wanda becomes confused like she doesn't realize that she is in that pocket universe that she has created. In reference to that scene I would like to that in one of the comic books Wanda loses her sanity and in reaction to that she eliminates the mutants off planet earth and, the name of the storyline was "House of M".

And as we can see in that scene, she's pouring wine out of a bottle with superpowers and the writing on that wine bottle is "Maison Du Mepris" which is French of "House of Misery".

Do you see the similarity here? "House of M" "House of Misery". This can be a mere coincidence but it is there. So now when Wanda starts to get confused because of the constant mockery of the dinner guests, the age of her universe starts to shift now into a colored version of 1970's 'Brady Brunch'.

Next, we move into the 1980s which very much looks like the sitcom of that era "Family Ties" you can notice that vision has tucked his shirt inside pants just like Stephen Keaton from that show (Family Ties). Next wand and vision both are holding a baby in their arms, which may be showing the future of MCU, and I am not making this up from my mind, because these are the Wanda and Vision's two sons Thomas and Willaim from the comic book series.

It also shows that she's manifesting these children because of the prodding from her TV Family, as in one of the black and white scenes at the Dinner table with Debra Joe Rupp in which she says "Why don't you have children?'

In the comics, Wanda goes crazy when she finds out that she imagined these twins into existence, and that's when all the things happen with her getting rid of all the mutants in "House of M", but later these twins come back. As we saw the easter egg of their comic series on Wanda's fridge as the initials of both. T from Thomas and B from Billy which is the nickname of William in the storyline Young Avengers.

Now you see Katheryn Han throughout the trailer, as I suggested that she may be playing the character of Agatha Harkness or maybe some other witch in the actual MCU, so when Wanda creates this small universe of her own, she may get stuck in it and Agatha goes inside to walk her through that pocket universe of Wanda Maximoff and help her through that.

I hope it makes sense to you guys

In the next scene, we see vision flying and the song playing in the background becomes diegetic when Vision lands near her meaning that she was listening to that song in her car. This shows that Katheryn Han is in the real world. And the vision touches her and we can see crackles of yellow energy similar to the ones that come out of the vision's mind stone.

So, does Wanda going to bring the mind stone back? This is another question that is going to be answered in the movie.

So, both Wanda and Vision are in the universe created by her, and in some scenes, they look confused as they're wondering where are they, and as soon as it happens, she creates another reality and the process starts all over again. And then we have Katheryn Han’s character to explain to them who they really are in the real world. Because in the next scene she tells Vision that he died in the real universe, and after telling him that she laughs a witch's signature laugh.

So now I am going to explain why do I think that this is a false reality or pocket universe created by Wanda. I deducted this theory from the next scene in which a girl is kind of looks like being sucked out of one scene to another where she lands on her back and loses her conscious then there are some guys in black and some kind of a top-secret army facility and a helicopter hovering above.

Because in the next scene she tells Vision that he died in the real universe, and after telling him that she laughs a witch's signature laugh.

The series seems like it's going to base in part on the 'Vision and the Scarlet Witch' and the Tom King book "Vision". Both comics are about Wanda and Vision moving to the suburbs and trying to live an ordinary life.

There are some Easter Eggs throughout the trailer like, both of the heroes wearing comic-accurate costumes for Halloween.

Kevin Feige has said that this show is going to lead directly into "Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" maybe because that small universe which Wanda has created is another universe where if she goes insane then is a universe of madness.

So maybe we'll also see 'Dr. Strange' in this helping Wanda in her small pocket universe and correcting all the consequences that come from her reality-altering powers.

So, what do you guys think of the trailer and which part made you most excited?

Please leave your comments below with your theories and tell us what you think about my theory.
